ENGIE seized the opportunity to co-finance projects of the "Off-Grid Clean Energy Facility" (OCEF) of the MCA-BENIN II through a call for project proposals. It was selected by the OCEF in the 2nd RFP with the "Implementation of integrated mini-grids for the promotion of economic, inclusive and sustainable development of rural areas in Benin". On June 17, 2020, a co-funding agreement was signed between ENGIE and MCA-Benin II. This agreement marks the beginning of the partnership with the MCA-Benin II OCEF Facility. Read more.

MCA Benin II is co-funding the project "Implementation of integrated mini-networks for the promotion of inclusive and sustainable economic development of rural areas in Benin" for an amount of US$ 4,976,930. The results approach is the one used by the OCEF to disburse funds.
